Vehicle Bursts Into Flames On I-495

Emergency crews worked hard to extinguish a vehicle fire on a Montgomery County roadway, authorities announced.

Fire and rescue crews were called to the I-495 beltway near New Hampshire Avenue around 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, April 12, according to Montgomery County Fire and Rescue officials.

Crews arrived at the scene to find a grey midsize vehicle on fire on the side of the highway.

The fire was contained shortly after. It is not immediately clear whether or not there were any injuries in the incident or what caused the fire.
